WFOA 2024: Preserve your core values with the State Auditor’s Office
Sep 17, 2024
The Washington Finance Officers Association annual conference is back in Yakima this year, and the State Auditor's Office couldn’t be more excited! We’ve been waiting all summer for this, and with three preconference trainings and 15 sessions, we have a lot in store for this year’s conference.
As we do for every WFOA conference, we’ve created a special edition of our Audit Connection newsletter. In this issue, you'll hear from State Auditor Pat McCarthy and also get first access to tons of SAO's latest resources and news. Highlights from this edition include our new information technology policy guide and federal award management handbook, special columns on financial transparency and bond financing, a snapshot of some BARS accounting and reporting updates, and a look at the lessons learned from some recent purchase card misappropriations.
Click on the image below to turn the pages of the interactive version of this newsletter. It’s also available to download—the last page includes instructions on how to do that. We’ll also have printed copies available at our booth and during SAO sessions.
Chat with us
Visit our booth to chat with audit managers, process improvement experts and frauditors. We also have some fun swag for all our partners in accountability – and a game where you have a chance to win a Fraud Fighting Friday T-shirt! Plus, join State Auditor Pat McCarthy for some special remarks during lunchtime on Wednesday.
