Find ways to improve your accounts payable process with our new guide
Nov 9, 2021
The Center for Government Innovation at the State Auditor's Office is excited to announce our new Accounts Payable Guide for local governments. Use this guide to find ways to improve your operations and discover best practices.
This guide has something for each role in the accounts payable process, whether you are:
- A leader developing policies or looking for ways to save time with accounts payable processes
- A manager wanting to reduce risk in your accounts payable operation
- A supervisor looking to improve monitoring over accounts payable payments
- An accounting clerk hoping to save time and improve accuracy while processing payables
In conjunction with the new guide, we've also published a new Internal Controls Checklist for Accounts Payable. You should periodically evaluate your accounts payable system to make your internal controls are adequate. The questions in this checklist will help you do that.
