Annual report takes a 20/20 look at 2020

2020 has been a year unlike any other. However, we at the Office of the Washington State Auditor still have a responsibility to report on what we've done this year.

Learn about the amount and kinds of audits and investigations we have done, including some high profile cases, as well as some of what we have planned for 2021. This year's report contains an important change from previous editions: We based the statistical information on the state's fiscal year, which runs through June 30, instead of the calendar year. This shift will better align the report with similar reporting done by other state agencies. Here is a PDF version of the document.
